This out of the city location has done wonders for Ray and his wife Gaew's reputation. Originally they had a bar in Pattaya city in which Ray built up a steady stream of returning customers, thanks to his friendly personality, but after enough of the Pattaya city pressure, Ray decided to do something different. 

The new venture is on the road opposite the main reservoir for Pattaya, about fifteen kilometers out of the city centre.

If you want to find it for yourself then just drive down soi Siam Country Club road  off the main Sukhumvit highway and when you see the reservoir on your left then follow the road for about another three kilometers and you'll come across Mulligans Lakeside bar on the right hand side of the road.

So when you get to the point where you just want a break from the daily hassle of Pattaya city, then this is the ideal place to come.

There is a restaurant, so you can come out for a complete day away from the bright lights and hussle of the city. The reservoir opposite is just such a nice and tranquil change. If you haven't explored away from Pattaya city before, then this is definitely the place to come.

Ray has put a lot of effort into building this new venture, including the spacious aircon restaurant and a very open upstairs bar with plenty of breeze circulating the bar - see the photos. The beer garden is a very spacious and relaxed affair - plenty of room to chill out.

Although at this point (November 07) they are not yet fully open, they plan to hold the grand opening in early December. It is sure to be a popular destination.

Even at the moment there are plenty of customers who know Ray and Gaew from their previous bar in Pattaya, so there's no shortage of well-wishers turning up to say hello and have a look at an establishment four times the size of the last one.

While there are many expats living on this side of the Sukhumvit Road, Ray gets plenty of them to make Mulligans popular, especially with golfers. At the same time it's location still makes it a great place to go.

If you're keen on golfing, then no doubt you will have heard about Mulligans Lakeside bar already, its a destination fast becoming known in golfing circles.

So have a day off, go to visit Ray and Gaew at the new Mulligans Lakeside Bar in such pleasant, idyllic surroundings.
