Popcorn GoGo Bar
Pattayaland Soi 2 Pattaya Beach

Popcorn GoGo Pattaya Beach
This newly opened GoGo is on Pattayaland Soi 2 in the heart of Pattaya's Pattayaland nightlife entertainment centre, 50 meters from the beach, 2 minutes south of Royal Garden Plaza and 5 minutes north of Pattaya's Walking Street.

The owner is a Londoner by the name of JJ, he has been involved in various enterprises in Pattaya over the years, so he's no stranger to the bar business.

Popcorn GoGo has been open since September and all the staff have been recruited from scratch to help build up this newly opened GoGo.

When we went to visit Popcorn, one of the many things we noticed was the draft beer on offer at 55 baht all night. A definite customer-puller, this one.

There have been many improvements made since the old All Girls GoGo vacated the premises a few months before the new management team started their refurbishment task.

The outside of the GoGo has been improved. The large neon signs above the main doors can do nothing but attract people walking past, even if you're on the Beach road you can't help but see these new signs. They are an out-and-out attraction. Unless you're blind, you can't fail to see them.

One thing immediately noticeable is the dance floor is now against the left-hand wall as you walk in the bar, giving customers more chance to sit at the larger tables and do what customers in GoGos do best - oggle the dancers! Popcorn GoGo from Pattaya bar reviews

The music played in the bar is, thankfully not the all too common techno stuff, but a conscious effort to stick with the tried and tested 70s and 80s theme of rock, pop with a little rock and roll thrown in for good measure.

JJ is pleasant and chatty, always ready with a joke or witty comment, as you would expect from a friendly Londoner. Ask him the best place to buy a pizza or kebab and he'll always give you the benefit of his vast knowledge. JJ has been around the Pattayaland area for many years now.
Pattayaland has in the past few years appeared to have struggled somewhat, but if this new venture takes off, then we all hope it could well return to it's former glory.

The staff are attentive and seem ready to attend to your every need. If you're in need of a little nap, there is the chance to use the facilities available.

Overall, we think it is a decent bar and given time, it will have the chance to establish itself as a regular haunt for visitors and expats alike.
